Students from Simon Sanchez, George Washington, and John F Kennedy High Schools celebrate the one year anniversary of a law that bans the sale, trade, and possession of shark fin on Guam, and call on the Federated States of Micronesia to create a shark sanctuary. Their art sculpture consists of 730 paper fins, with each fin representing 100,000 sharks, the number of sharks killed every 12 hours.’

Look at the sky. It’s not dark and black and without character. The black is in fact deep blue. And over there! Lighter blue. And blue in through the blueness, and the blackness, the winds swirling through the air… and then shining. Burning, bursting through! The stars, can you see how they roll their light? Everywhere we look, complex magic of nature blazes before our eyes.
